Sunday Worship Services
No matter what your faith background or where you are in your spiritual journey, whether you’ve been attending church for a long time, or if you’ve never attended church at all, Grace Vancouver invites you to come as you are for our Sunday worship service.
These are our largest weekly gathering as a church family. We do our best to make people feel welcome with a warm atmosphere, friendly people, contemporary worship music, challenging messages and coffee and snacks or lunch afterwards.
Our service starts at 10am and meets at 1696 W. 7th Avenue (Pine & 7th) [Map/Directions]
Infants, toddlers and children receive teaching and care during services at both locations.
After the service, we love to hang around and have coffee and snacks (and sometimes we have lunch together) after the service. Be sure to stick around and meet some new people.
What is a Worship Service?
Grace Vancouver Church believes that worship is a two-way communication process between God and us. Through a series of activities that make up the course of a Sunday worship service (including singing, sermons, and community updates, for example), we come to meet with God.
God hears from the church family and receives our songs of praise, prayers, reading of Scripture, and offerings.
The church family hears from God through receiving God's truth sung in songs, words and prayers spoken, and preaching from the Bible. Sermons open God's Word to help people see who God is, understand more clearly and apply God's truth to life in the city.
Our desire is for our Sunday worship services to be a time when we gather as God's people to meet with God and with each other after a week of worshipping and walking with God in our homes, workplaces and neighbourhoods. It is a time when we encourage each other in faith so that we can be strengthened in living as Jesus would in the city throughout the rest of the week.
Our style of service features a variety of music, historic and contemporary liturgy and engaging and relevant messages.
Special services include Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Christmas Eve and Christmas, as well as services where both congregations join together for a time of worship and celebration. Please check our calendar for upcoming special services that are scheduled.
