Children's Education
It takes a village to raise a child.
Jesus clearly loves children - during his earthly ministry he took time with children and even pointed adults to learn from them. Likewise, the Grace Vancouver family wants to make sure our children are included in and contributing to all our activities too.
Our purpose is to teach Biblical truth that will inspire our children and youth with a vision for their purpose in the body of Christ and unite families in their pursuit of Christian living and worship as a lifestyle in the home. .
A teacher is someone who depends on God to consistently love, smile and listen to our kids each time they come for instruction and guidance. This communicates to our children that they are important to us and to God.
Next time you see one of our little ones running around, take the time to interact with them and reflect God's care for them.
During our Sunday Worship Services, volunteers are needed to take turns in:
- Teaching elementary school ages (both regular teachers or occasional substitutes) Training and curriculum is provided.
- Providing nursery care for our toddlers and infants
Other opportunities to serve our children include:
- Praying for our children
- Helping with seasonal outreaches (first one is for Hallowe'en)
- Using music/drama to reach our children
- Helping with communications (mailouts, emails, website, creative bulletin boards, quarterly newsletter by kids, for kids)
- Providing healthy snacks for our children
- Providing supplies
This ministry may be for you if you:
- Love being around kids
- Love teaching
- Are young at heart and can act like a kid :)
- Want to grow in communicating spiritual truths in simple language and in creative ways
You might also learn a lesson or two from the children.
Most of these responsibilities are shared with a team on a rotation basis. If you can lend a hand with our kids, use our service sign up form to let us know how you can help!
