Alpha Introduction to Christianity alpha course grace vancouver church

Jesus was frequently found provoking discussion with people during his time on earth. Just as he asked his own followers in his day, Jesus asks you today, "Who do you say that I am?" How would you answer him?

This 10 week practical introduction to the basics of Christianity is for you if you want to explore the Christian faith and ask your questions about life in an informal, friendly non-threatening environment.

People come from many different backgrounds, holding many different viewpoints - but all come with the same objective: to establish whether Jesus Christ has any real relevance for life today. There is plenty of opportunity for discussion and debate.

No matter what your experience or inexperience with church, whether you're investigating Christianity for the first time or revisiting your faith, participants get a lot out of an Alpha Course.

Each week the group meets to share a meal, a talk on topics such as "Who is Jesus?", "Why Did Jesus Die?", "How Can I be Sure of My Faith?", and "Does God Still Heal Today?", followed by small group interaction and discussion. There is also a day or weekend retreat midway through the course.

Who is it for?

    • Those wanting to investigate Christianity;
    • New Christians;
    • Those who feel that they have never really got going as a Christian;
    • Newcomers to the church;
    • Those who want to brush-up on the basics.

If you know anyone who might benefit from this course, invite them! Or you may be interested in helping put on Alpha by offering your cooking skills, good listening skills and friendship....
