Small Groups with a Focus
Various groups meeting include:
Alpha (Introduction to Christianity) & Beta helps people from all kinds of backgrounds to explore, ask questions, and find out more about Christianity. This group uses materials from the Alpha Course and Christianity Explored to guide learning.
Arts in the City Group helps establish artists (and art appreciators) in the Vancouver art scene and leads our church to apply the Gospel in this facet of urban life. Art shows provide hands on application for learning.
Beta Bible Group meets to learn and apply the basics of bible interpretation by asking "what does it say? what does it mean? how does it apply?" Instruction included.
International Student Group helps international students learn about and engage in Canadian culture and friendships while learning about God's love for them. This group also helps English speakers learn to speak about Christ plainly and helps lead our church in having God's heart for welcoming the nations in our midst.
Marriage Group uses the Alpha Marriage Video series to help couples build strong foundations for a lasting marriage.
Spiritual Formation of Servants (12 Steps) applies a biblical model of healing and recovery which helps group members experience God's mercy more deeply in their own life so they can better relate his mercy to a city that is broken and hurting.
Voices of Grace (Choir) help group members learn about and experience God through song, fellowship, friendship, food and a brief teaching from a Biblical passage.
Youth Group gathers teens together to study God's Word, hang out and do fun things in the city.
There will be a group with childcare available.
